Michael Humphries WoodworkingIn 1975, Michael Humphries began producing fine furniture, cabinetry and architectural millwork in his small barn workshop in Warwick. The company expanded and has consolidated into one large shop in Northfield with a staff of skilled craftsman with decades of experience. They work from their own designs as well as their client’s to create unique projects on any scale. Michael Humphries Woodworking, Inc. builds entire rooms of cabinets, single pieces of furniture, jewelry boxes, staircases, and other elaborate architectural millwork projects. Michael Humphries, born in Pennsylvania, now resides in Warwick Massachusetts. He attended Haverford College (BA. ’70) and the University of Massachusetts Amherst (M Ed. ’72). Upon graduation with emphasis on the visual arts, he worked three years in creative video production. In 1974, he changed his profession and returned to woodworking. Since then, he and his employees have met clients’ high expectations for quality in challenging woodworking projects from New York City to Bar Harbor, Maine. The primary focus of his work has been commissioned work and understanding the functional needs and design considerations of his clients. Contact:
